The treatments we offer
As mentioned, at Parkway Dental Care, it is our goal to offer our patient’s every type of dental care they could ever need. Our dentist in Havant is divided into four areas of dental care – general treatments, preventative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and treatment for missing teeth. The general dentistry treatments that we provide covers emergency dental care as well as treatment for pregnant women, jaw problems, snoring, oral surgeries, extractions and root canal therapies.
Our preventive dental treatments, which, as the name implies, aim to prevent dental problems from developing or worsening, include procedures such as mouth cancer screenings, treating sensitive teeth, dental hygienist services, gum care and children’s dental screenings.
Another branch of dental care that our dentist can provide – and one that has become increasingly popular with patients of every age – is cosmetic dentistry. We provide a selection of different cosmetic treatments, each of which aim to help overcome one or multiple superficial issues you may have with your teeth.
The treatments we offer include composite bonding, porcelain veneers, onlays and overlays, white fillings, dental whitening and invisible braces.
For patients who are missing one or multiple teeth, we also have a branch of our practice that focuses on replacing lost teeth using treatments such as dentures, crowns, denture stabilisation, dental bridges and conscious sedation.
Conscious sedation
Our dentist in Havant, here at Parkway Dental Care, recognises that, for some, visiting a dental clinic can cause severe anxiety or fear. While we do our best to make our practice feel welcoming and comfortable, we know that sometimes, more advanced measures are necessary to allow certain patients to get dental care comfortably. This is where conscious sedation comes into play as a way of sedating and relaxing anxious patients.
We offer two types of conscious sedation to patients who need it. The first is intravenous sedation (IV sedation) in which a controlled quantity of a sedative is injected into the patient by a qualified practitioner to make them relax. For those who are afraid or uncomfortable around needles, we also offer inhaled sedation, which uses a small mask that patients wear over their mouth and nose before inhaling a mix of oxygen and nitrous oxide. This will sedate the patient, allowing our practitioners to complete their treatments without disruption or discomfort.
